I was born in Glasgow and studied at both the Glasgow School of
Art and Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London,
graduating with an Honours Degree in 1990.
I work in oil, acrylic, chalk pastel and anything else that takes
my fancy at the
moment. I have had successful solo and joint exhibitions in London,
Glasgow and at the Pittenweem Arts Festival and have commissioned
work throughout the UK for private clients and companies, including
Sun Microsystems and Butlins.
Now living in Glasgow, I have
lived in both North America and The Far East. I have worked for the
Royal National Theatre in London and Edinburgh, and on the TV
series, Outlander, currently in production for Starz - in the Breakdown and Dye department.
Lately, on top of my painting, I
have had the pleasure of writing for EnvatoTuts, an online tutorial website - you can find links to my individual art articles on
